Apache Wells is a wonderful community located in Mesa, Arizona. The main crossroads are Higley Road and McKellips Road. You own your own land in Apache Wells (no lot rent!!). One individual must be 55 years of age to live in Apache Wells. It is a 400-500 acre park and has over 1400 homes. Mostly manufactured homes are in Apache Wells; however, many new homes are being built or new modular homes are being placed on the lots. This is the joy of Apache Wells.
The homeowners association fee is $45.00 per month. This monthly fee includes all of the recreational facilities listed below, as well as trash pick up two times a week. Can't beat that!
Some of the recreational activities are as follows:
18-hole championship golf course-- membership is required (see below); heated pool and jacuzzi; softball field with two senior softball teams; horseshoe pits; billiard room; fully equipped exercise room; shuffleboard; lapidary shop; ceramics; Bingo; playing cards; bicycle club; art lessons and organized art group; stitch and chat; beautiful new library; and potluck dinners.
There is a monthly newspaper, the Round Up, with a calendar of events.
Fire/paramedic/hospital services within a short distance. There is a community restaurant and a community church.
Apache Wells Country Club Golf Course, Which Is Owned By Members:
* Membership certificate: approximately $5,000
* Membership transfer fee: $2,100
* Unlimited yearly golf: $1,400 per person
* Private except for Saturday and Sunday mornings
* Open to public approximately April 15-November 1
